Type Localities. “ Bolivia: Sierra Corroico ; Peru: Vilcanota ” .

Current Status. Valid species.

Remarks. This species was described based on a long series of specimens, but the precise number was not stated ( Spaeth 1923). Spaeth stated that the types (a male and a female) are in his collection; therefore, all specimens must be considered syntypes. The series in the MM agrees with the original description, and there is no need for a lectotype designation. The ZMH specimen is part of the type series. However, the green label with “ Sucre ” was added subsequently; its purpose is unclear as the species certainly does not occur at that locality.

Until now the description was considered to have been published in 1922. However, it appeared in the fourth issue of the first volume (for the year 1922) of Norsk Entomologisk Tidsskrift, which was issued no sooner than 24 June 1923. Hence, the year is changed accordingly.
