Baeocera sordida Löbl, 1984b: 183

Diagnosis. Antennomere XI about twice as long as III. Elytral punctuation sparse and fine. Mesocoxal area slightly broadened. Lateral portion of metaventrite sparsely and coarsely punctuate. Ventrite I sparsely and finely punctuate. Distal gonocoxite elongate and tapering apically. Parameres symmetrical.

Redescription. Body oval, shining. Pronotum and elytra black to dark reddish-brown; frons, clypeus, labrum, tibiae and femora reddish-brown; maxillary palpi, tarsi and antennomeres I–IV yellowish-brown; antennomeres V– XI dark yellowish-brown; head black. Head, pronotum and elytra sparsely and finely pubescent.

Head with interocular distance about twice as eye width. Punctuation sparse and fine. Antennomeres I–VI with a few macrosetae, VII–XI covered with some macrosetae; XI about twice as long as III (Fig. 26).

Pronotum wider than long, lateral keel distinct except near basal angles. Punctuation sparse and fine, as on head. Scutellum wider than long, with exposed apex.

Elytra almost as wide as long, widest at basal fourth, lateral margins gradually narrowed apically, minutely serrate at inner part of posterior margin. Elytral punctuation sparse and fine ( Fig. 80 View FIGURES 76 – 83 ). Sutural striae extending outwards along basal margin to form complete basal stria joined to lateral striae.

Propygidium and pygidium sparsely and finely punctuate; pygidium weakly concave, with 2 macrosetae.

Hypomeron impunctuate. Mesoventrite sparsely and finely punctuate, as pronotum. Lateral portion of metaventrite sparsely and coarsely punctuate. Mesepimeron about twice as long as wide. Mesocoxa about twice as wide as interspace between mesocoxa; mesocoxal area moderately broadened. Metepimeron almost as long as wide. Metacoxa about twice as wide as metacoxal process. Metanepisternum about four times as long as wide. Ventrite I with 4 macrosetae, sparsely and finely punctuate; V with 8 macrosetae, sparsely and finely punctuate, and concave at middle portion of apex.

Meso- and metafemora with microsculpture, sparsely and coarsely punctuate.

Male. Aedeagus about 0.36 mm long; parameres symmetrical; inner sac with rod-like sclerites ( Fig. 64 View FIGURES 62 – 67 ).

Female. Distal gonocoxite elongate and tapering apically (Fig. 51); vagina membranous, without robust sclerites; bursa copulatrix not sclerotized.

Measurements (n = 18). Length (PL+EL): 1.56–1.96mm; width (PW, EW): 0.79–1.03 mm, 0.85–1.13 mm. PL/PW: 0.75–0.83; EL/EW: 0.98–1.09. HW: 0.36–0.44 mm. ID: 0.15–0.21 mm.

Approximate ratio of each antennal length (width) as follows (n = 1); 1.8 (0.9): 1.6 (0.9): 1.0 (0.4): 1.2 (0.4): 1.4 (0.4): 1.2 (0.4): 1.5 (0.6): 1.3 (0.5): 1.6 (0.7): 1.7 (0.8): 2.0 (0.9).
