Hylaeus (Hylaeus) stubbei Dathe, 1986 View in CoL
Figs 20–23 View FIGURES 20 – 23
Hylaeus stubbei Dathe, 1986: 296 View in CoL , ♂ (holotype: ♂, Mongolia, Govi-Altai Aimag, Altai, ZNS).
Hylaeus peregrinus Dathe, 1986: 277 View in CoL , 279, ♀ (holotype: ♀, Mongolia, Bayan-Khongor Aimag, 30 km S Bogd, ZNS). Examined. Syn. nov.
Material examined. Altai Republic: 7 ♀, 8 ♂, Kosh-Agach, 14–18.VI.1964, M. Kozlov ( ZISP); 1 ♀, 20 km NW Kosh-Agach, 14.VII.2007, SAB ( ZISP); 1 ♀, Chemal, 19–21.VII.2007, SAB ( ZISP).
Distribution in Siberia. *Altai Republic.
General distribution. Mongolia, * Russia.
Remarks. The previously undetected association of the sexes was clearly indicated by the newly collected material. The vestiture of the females is not so long or dense as in the males, correspondence in many characters of morphology and sculpture are therefore not easily discernible. The face of the female is characteristically trapezoid in shape ( Fig. 21 View FIGURES 20 – 23 ); the malae in frontal view appear angular; the clypeus protruding, with clearly depressed tentorial pits and longitudinally striped sculpture. Otherwise, the characters described by Dathe (1986: 277, 279) are confirmed. Both names were published at the same time; due to the better definition of the male ( Fig. 20 View FIGURES 20 – 23 ), it is selected as the naming.
