PA: Afghanistan, Algeria, Austria, Azores, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canary Is., China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Faroe Is., Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Macedonia, Madeira Is., Malta, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Turkey, Tadzhikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine.
Egyptian localities: It is a very common species, distributed in all Egyptian ecological zones except Gebel Elba. [ Hafez (1947) recorded this species on Human excrement from Giza].
Dates of collection: December to May.
