TYPE DEPOSITORY: National Museum of Ireland, (cited as Irish National Museum), Dublin, Ireland TYPE LOCALITY AND HABITAT: Glendalough, Wicklow, Ireland, under rotten wood.
NOTE: Turk & Turk (1952) transferred this species from Hypoaspis to Chamolaelaps (= Proctolaelaps ), and Athias-Henriot (1959) provisionally placed it in Arctoseius . We are unable to place this species in a genus on the basis of the available information.
