Macropisthodon flaviceps (Duméril, Bibron & Duméril, 1854) *
Material examined. Two specimens (1 adult and 1 subadult) examined alive and photographed, in the vicinity North of Bangko, Province of Jambi.
Taxonomic comments. Two typical specimens as depicted in Chan-Ard et al. (1999) and Stuebing & Inger (1999).
Distribution on Sumatra. Provinces of Jambi (first record in this work), and Aceh, Sumatera Utara, Riau, Bengkulu, Sumatera Selatan, and Lampung; also the islands of Bangka and Nias ( David & Vogel, 1996).
Biology. These specimens were found in the morning in a lowland marsh in November.
