TYPE LOCALITY: South Africa, Little Namaqualand, Kamiesberg ( Meester et al., 1986) .
DISTRIBUTION: South Africa (Cape Prov., SW Orange Free State, SW Transvaal), S Botswana, and Namibia (see Skinner and Smithers, 1990).
SYNONYMS: brevicaudatus , caffer , hoeschi, pudicus, robertsi , shortridgei , wolfi.
