TYPE LOCALITY: Indonesia, Sulawesi, NE peninsula, Menado .
DISTRIBUTION: Recorded only from N, C, and SW Sulawesi.
SYNONYMS: lampo, longicaudus .
COMMENTS: Represented by a small extant series from the N peninsula and central core, and by both modern specimens and subfossils from the SW peninsula of Sulawesi (Musser, 19704; 1984). A second species (yet to be named and described) is known only from subfossil fragment collected in SW arm of Sulawesi ( Musser and Holden, 1991).
