TYPE LOCALITY: Panama, Chiriqui Prov., Volcan de Chiriqui, Boquete, 4000 ft .

DISTRIBUTION: Westernmost Panama; limits uncertain.

COMMENTS: Relegated to a subspecies of O. fulvescens by Goldman (1918) and so arranged thereafter (e.g., Hall, 1981). Bangs (1902), however, correctly recognized the sympatry of his new species with O. fulvescens .
