TYPE LOCALITY: USA, Arizona, Graham Co., Camp Grant .
DISTRIBUTION: C California, S Nevada, and extreme SW Utah, USA, south to N Baja California, W Sonora, and northernmost Sinaloa, Mexico.
SYNONYMS: clarus, knoxjonesi, longicaudus , macrotis , perpallidus , pulcher , ramona , tularensis, yakiensis.
COMMENTS: See comments under O. arenicola . See McCarty (1975, Mammalian Species, 59, including arenicola ). Hollander and Willig (1992) described the Sinoloan knoxjonesi.
