TYPE SPECIES: Chrysochloris duthieae Broom, 1907 .

SYNONYMS: Amblysomus, Carpitalpa .

COMMENTS: Included in Amblysomus by Ellerman et al. (1953) and by Petter (1981a). Lundholm (1955a:285) described Carpitalpa and Kilimitalpa (here included in Chrysochloris ) as subgenera; Carpitalpa was regarded by Simonetta (1968) as a valid genus. Both included in Amblysomus by Meester (1974).
