Material studied: ♂, Japan, western Honshu, Okayama Pref., Kuma-yama near Akaiwa-shi , 19.05.1999, leg. Tat- suya Kan ( EUMJ) ; ♂, Japan, Shikoku, Ehime Pref., Mt. Narabara-san, Tamagawa Town , 20.12.1998, leg. Hiroshi Sugaya ( EUMJ) ; ♂, Japan, Shikoku, Ehime Pref., Keyakidaira, Kumakogen-cho , 11.05.2018, leg. P. Jałoszyński (cPJ) .

Remarks. This species was known from the holotype male only, collected in Keyakidaira, Ehime Pref. I was able to collect a male in the same locality, and another male specimen comes from the neighboring area on Shikoku. For the first time V. yoshitomii is here recorded from Honshu.
