Yalvaciana (Ciplak, Heller and Demirsoy, 2002)

Brachypterous; tegmina as long as or longer than pronotum, but never surpassing the half of abdomen; body largesized, heavy and black or dark brownish; head large and eyes spherical or oval; pronotum dorsally depressed and laterally compressed with the median carina or keel distinct in the metazoan; male 10th anal tergite with two long processes; the apex or tip of the cerci pointed and the tooth of cerci in the proximal half; female subgenital plate bilobate; ovipositor large and broad, black with light brownish base and regularly curved.

Key to species of the genus Yalvaciana

1) Tegmina longer than pronotum reaching before the half of abdomen............................................. 2

- Tegmina as long as or shorter than pronotum. Male last tergite with two long and narrow posterior processes. Female subgenital plate bilobate with a deep triangular incision................................. Yalvaciana . yalvaci (Ciplak et al., 2002)

2) Male last tergite with short and wide triangular processes, stridulatory file short and broad ( Fig. S ), female subgenital plate as long as broad, bilobate, apex with obtusely rounded incision, titillators with spines on apical surface, basal surface smooth.................................................................. - Male last tergite with two long cylindrical processes ( Fig J ), stridulatory file as in ( Fig T ), female subgenital plate as long as longer than broad and with small U shaped incision ( Fig G ), titillators with teeth on all surface ( Fig. K ).................................................................................................. Yalvaciana unal sp. nov.
