(Plate 2, figs 13–14; gen. figs 7–8)

Records from Korea. 1 female, Prov. South Jeolla, Hongdo island, Sinan-gun, 29 m, 125°11’38”E, 34°41’04”N, 27.ii.2007, leg. S.W. Choi (coll. MNU); 1 male, 1 female, Prov. South Jeolla, (Muan), Mt. Diagnosis. The external appearance of the Sugitania Matsumura, 1926 , species is uniform and characteristic (Sugi 1990; Owada 1995; Owada et al. 2010), the species are best distinguished by their genitalia. This high external similarity is the reason of the surprisingly late recognition of the distinct species of the genus occurring often sympatrically and syntopically. The best overview of the genus is found in the revisional paper of Owada et al. (2010), which illustrates all known taxa, displaying the prominent genital differences between the speciesgroups of the genus. Sugitania lepida has, in comparison with the other Korean Sugitania species, S. clara Sugi, 1990 , somewhat longer and broader wings with less pointed forewing tip and darker, less rosy-brown suffused brown ground colour. The genital differences are discussed and shown in the mentioned literature sources and are illustrated in the gen. figs 7–10.
Distribution. All confirmed records of Sugitania lepida originate from Japan (Owada et al. 2010); these are the first records outside the Japanese archipelago.
