Type. SEMC

Distribution. C (Alameda, Calaveras, Lassen, Marin, Orange, Plumas, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Mateo, Santa Barbara, Solano, Stanislaus, Tuolumne, Ventura, Yolo )

Host/habitat. Conwentzia sp., Parasemidalis sp.; NEW: Conwentzia barretti (EMEC)

Remarks. In southern California, the hosts of this species are likely to be Conwentzia nigrans Carpenter and Parasemidalis flaviceps Banks , which were the most abundant coniopterygids found in association with T. microrphanos ( Gordh 1973) . In northern California, there are two instances (EMEC) where a T. microrphanos adult was reared from the same host ( C. barretti ) specimen as a Dendrocerus sp. ( Hymenoptera : Megaspilidae ), representing the extremely rare phenonomon of multiple parasitism. An undetermined species of this genus has been collected from Lassen and Santa Barbara counties (UCRC).
