Additional material examined. Russia: 4 ♂, 3 ♀, Astrakhan reg., Dosang env., 20–23.vi.2016 ; 6 ♂, 4 ♀, same data but 26–28.v.2016 ( ET) . Turkmenistan: 1 ♂, Ispas , 70 km NW Tchardzhou, 2.vi.1965 (Falkovitsh) . China: 1 ♂, Kuldja , coll. Wocke (all ZIN) .

Remarks. Staudingeria psammicola was described from five males and three females collected in Uburchangai aimak and South Gobi aimak in Mongolia. Roesler (1970: 101) compared A. psammicola with A. deserticola (Staudinger, 1870) but not with A. leucocephala ( Staudinger, 1879) . Our study of the holotype and two paratypes (male and female) of A. psammicola justified their conspecificity with A. leucocephala . The type material of the latter and the differences between A. leucocephala and A. deserticola were recently discussed ( Bidzilya et al. 2019). Hence, the following synonymy is proposed: Ancylosis psammicola ( Roesler, 1970) syn. nov. of Ancylosis leucocephala ( Staudinger, 1879) .

Distribution. Russia (Lower Volga and S Urals), Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, W China ( Roesler 1973; Sinev et al. 2019). The records from Romania ( Roesler 1973; Speidel 1996; Plant & Jakšić 2018) should most likely be referred either to A. deserticola or to A. larissae Bidzilya, Budashkin & Yepishin, 2019 .
