Myelois pallida Staudinger, 1870 — Horae Societatis entomologicae Rossicae, 7: 202. TL: Volgograd [Sarepta], Russia. Staudingeria unicolorella Roesler, 1970 View in CoL — Reichenbachia, 13 (7): 94–98, figs 27, 28. TL: “Ongon elis, 10 km S von Somon”,
[Sükhbaatar aimak], Mongolia. Syn. nov.
Type material examined. Holotype of unicolorella : ♂, “ MONGOLIA: Suchebaator aimak, Ongon elis, 10 km S von Somon Chongor, 900 m, Exp. Dr. D. Kaszab ” | “Nr. 360., 4.viii.1965 ” | “ Holotypus, Staudingeria unicolorella, U. Roesler ” (gen. slide 295/19, O. Bidzilya) ( NHMB) . Paratype: ♀, “ MONGOLIA: Gobi Altaj aimak, Baga nuuryn urd els, am S0 Ecke des Döröö nur, 1200 m, Exp. Dr. D. Kaszab, 1966” | “Nr. 680, 12.vii.1966 ” | “ Staudingeria unicolorella, U. Roesler, Para-Type ” (gen. slide 299/19, O. Bidzilya) ( NHMB) .
Additional material examined. Russia: 4 ♂, 4 ♀, Astrakhan reg., Dosang env., 22–25.vi.2016 ( ET) . China: 1 ♂, 2 ♀, Inner Mongolia, 80 km S of Hohhot , Zhao-He, 10.viii.2007 (Bidzilya) (gen. slide 285/ 18♂, O. Bidzilya; 091.18 ♀, V. Yepishin) ( ZMKU) .
Remarks. Ancylosis unicolorella was described based on long series of specimens from Suchebaator aimak (holotype) and other regions of Mongolia. The male holotype has partially destroyed genitalia (both valvae are missing). However, a rather long uncus (three times as long as broad at the base), long (extending over the mid length of uncus) and broad gnathos, apically subrectangular vinculum and laterally and medially sclerotized eighth sternum with subtrapezoidal basal sclerite are characteristic for the male genitalia ( Fig. 20 View FIGURES 19–23 a–c). We studied a male and a female from Inner Mongolia of China that match externally and in the genitalia to the holotype and female paratype examined by us and illustrated in Roesler (1973: pl. 167, fig. 225). All these specimens are indistinguishable both externally and in the genitalia from A. pallida (Staudinger, 1870) . The type specimens of the latter were recently studied ( Bidzilya et al. 2019: 453) and the paralectotype has been designated ( Korb 2017: 523, fig. 14). Hence, the following synonymy is established: Ancylosis unicolorella ( Roesler, 1970) syn. nov. of Ancylosis pallida (Staudinger, 1870) .
The male genitalia of the paratype A. unicolorella from Chovd aimak illustrated by Roesler (1970, fig. 27) are different from those of the holotype and likely represent an undescribed species. Two other male and two female paratypes of unicolorella belong to A. larissae (see under that species).
Distribution. Russia (Lower Volga and S Urals), Mongolia ( Roesler 1970; Sinev et al. 2019), China (Inner Mongolia) (new record). Two examined males from the Mugur-Aksy river valley (Tuva Republic of Russia) and Changaj Mnt ( Mongolia) resemble A. pallida externally but differ well in the male genitalia. These specimens and also records of A. unicolorella from Tuva ( Kosakewitsh 1982: 67) may refer to an undescribed species.
