Distribution. Peru, Venezuela.
Fauvel (1901b: 81) described this species from “ Venezuela: chemin de Santa Maria à Cariaco” and “ Amazone: Pebas”. The second locality Pebas [-3.31666667, -71.850000], refers to a small city that is near the Amazon River but in Peru. Subsequent references erroneously attributed this locality to Brazil ( Bernhauer and Schubert 1912: 280; Blackwelder 1944: 124).

Distribution. Palearctic region.
This species is know to Palearctic region but Blackwelder 1944: 123 and Bicho 2009: 495 cited erroneously it for Brazil.
