Type genus: Cunaxa von Heyden, 1826
Den Heyer (1978, 1979 a, b, c and d) discussed the morphology of this subfamily in detail, dividing it into four genera, viz. Cunaxa von Heyden, 1826 , Rubroscirus Den Heyer, 1979a , Armascirus Den Heyer, 1978 and Dactyloscirus Berlese, 1916 . Recently Den Heyer (2007) added another new genus, Riscus Den Heyer , to the subfamily. A key is subsequently provided for genera of Cunaxinae .
