Remarks. The species is very polychromatic and widespread throughout West Africa ( Beinhundner 2017b). It was considered a form of Charadronota quadrisignata ( Gory & Percheron, 1833) (see Rigout & Allard 1992) or a synonym of Charadronota soror Kraatz, 1883 ( Marais & Holm 1992; Krajcik 2008a). However, it is considered a good species by Beinhundner (2017b) and Moretto et al. (2021), a criterion followed here. Biological and ecological data are not available for this species. It is a new species record for Guinea-Bissau.
