Genus Chondrorrhina Kraatz, 1880

This is a controversial taxon. Taxonomical comments were provided by Serrano et al. (2020). There are two subgenera recognized in the genus, including the nominal one and Plaesiorrhinella Krikken, 1984 ( Antoine 2008). Beinhundner (2017b) recognized a total of eleven species in the genus (but see Schoolmeesters 2019) and two species were added recently ( Garnier et al. 2018). There is one species recorded for Guinea-Bissau ( Brivio 1958).
