When the genus Coridophora Schmitz was synonymised with Puliciphora ( Disney, 2002) View in CoL this created a homonym with Puliciphora nigriventris Bohart (1947) View in CoL , a synonym of P. pulex Dahl. I View in CoL therefore rectify this by renaming the species P. edaphomyia View in CoL , the name of the genus to which this species was originally assigned, but which was subsequently synonymised with Coridophora ( Disney, 1982) .
