Type locality: Italy, Tuscany, surroundings of Livorno and Pratovecchio

Distribution. Indian records: India ( Mathew 2006, Ylla et al. 2007). Global records: South Europe ( Hampson 1896a), Egypt, surroundings of Alexandria ( Rebel 1912), Morocco, Spain, Italy ( Holland & Schaus 1925), Iraq, Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Japan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, New Guinea, Borneo, Sumatra, Zimbabwe, Ghana and Zaire ( Ylla et al. 2007).

Remark. Lepidogma tamaricalis is currently the only Epipaschiinae species present in Europe ( Ylla et al. 2007).
