Indian records: Bombay ( Swinhoe 1885), throughout India ( Hampson 1896b), Calcutta ( Sevastopulo 1935), Kerala ( Mathew & Menon 1984), India ( Robinson et al. 1994), Pench, Kanha, Satpura, Madhav, van vihar, Bandhavgarh ( Ramakrishna et al. 2006), throughout India including Madhya Pradesh (Seoni, Umaria) ( Chandra & Nema 2008), Indore ( Chandra et al. 2010), Tamil Nadu ( Das et al. 2020a), Thar Desert ( Chandra et al. 2021). Global records: Nepaul ( Walker 1859a), Ceylon, Burma ( Hampson 1896b), Ceylon, Burma, China ( Caradja 1925), Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, W. Malaysia, Philippines, lowland to montane (800 m) ( Robinson et al. 1994).
