Type locality: Ceylon [ Sri Lanka]
Distribution. Indian records: Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kurg, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Khasis ( Mandal & Bhattacharya 1980) , North India ( Rose & Dhillon 1980c), Sikkim, Dehradun (UP [presently in Uttarakhand]), Khasi (Meghalaya), Andaman ( Gupta 1994), Andaman Islands (South Andaman) ( Chandra & Rajan 2004), Assam (Sibsagar, Meleng) ( Kirti & Sodhi 2001), East Himalaya ( Sanyal et al. 2018). Global records: Ceylon ( Hampson 1896b), Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Borneo, Pulo Laut, Sangir ( Mandal & Bhattacharya 1980).
