Record as epibiont on cnidarians: This species was reported on Cordylophora caspia from Kiel Bay, the North Sea ( Precht 1935).

Record as epibiont on other hosts: It was reported as epibiont on variey of hosts from the North Sea e.g., fish: Gasterosteus aculeatus Linnaeus, 1758 ; on mollusc: Hydrobia ventrosa (Montagu, 1803) ; on decapod: Crangon crangon (Linnaeus, 1758) ; on mysid: Neomysis integer (Leach, 1814) (reported as Neomysis vulgaris ); on isopods: Idotea chelipes (Pallas, 1766) (reported as Idothea viridis ) ( Precht 1935).

This species is distributed on various hosts (mainly crustacean) from Germany, Mexico, Finland, UK, USA, Denmark, Italy, Finland, Germany, Greenland and Czech Republic, Netherland etc ( Morado & Small 1995; Fernandez-Leborans & Tato-Porto 2000a; Mayén-Estrada & Aladro-Lubel 2002; Fernandez- Leborans 2009; Chatterjee et al. 2013a, 2020a; Mayén-Estrada & Utz 2018).
