Species. T. wernickei Del Ponte

Synonym of Panstrongylus megistus (Burmeister)

Etymology. I dedicate one of these three species to Dr. Roberto Wernicke, an academic and professor in the School of Medicine, who passed away in the city of Buenos Aires, and whose merits as a man and physician are very well known ( Del Ponte 1923: 34).

Original citation. “Dedico una de estas tres especies al Dr. Roberto Wernicke, académico y profesor de la Faculdad de Medicina, fallecido en la ciudad de Buenos Aires, cuyos méritos como hombre y como médico son por demás conocidos” ( Del Ponte 1923: 34).
