Diagnosis. FEMALE. Palp femoragenu without lateral notches. Palpalae l”G at least twice as long as dF. Body, including gnathosoma, 360–400 long. Setae h2 100–130 long. Vulva without long lateral folds. Genua I and II with 4 setae (v ” present). Apical segment of legs III with 5 setae, apical segment of legs IV with 4 setae.

Non-type material. Six females and 1 male ( ZISP AVB 07-1016-001) from Erithacus rubecula (Linnaeus) ( Passeriformes : Muscicapidae ), CZECH REPUBLIC: Moravskoslezsky Kraj, Novy Jicin, Sub-Beskidian Hills, Certak, 49º34 N, 17º59 E, 2 April 2007, coll. I. Type deposition. IPCR.

Hosts and distribution. This species is known only from the type host, Erithacus rubecula (Muscicapidae) from Europe (Cherny & Sixl 1971; Fain et al. 1999; Bochkov & Literak 2008; see Table 1 View TABLE 1 ).
