Type species: Archipialea chilensis Schlinger, 1973 ; by original designation. Refs.: Schlinger et al., 2013: 63 (in key).

Holotype: male, Peillen-Pille, Cord. Nahuelbuta (deposited in Colección Luis E. Peña, presently in FMNH). Paratype: female ( AMNH), male ( CAS). Dist.: Biobío (Arauco: Peillen-Pille, Pichinahuel); La Araucanía (Malleco: Parque Nacional Nahuelbuta).

Holotype: male, Las Trancas (MELP). Paratypes male (three, cited as “paratopotypes”; only a paratype male at MELP). Dist.: Biobío (Ñuble: 2.7 km N Las Trancas). Female unknown.

Holotype: female, Talinay (cited as deposited in Luis E. Peña Collection, actually in FMNH but this holotype has not been located in this entomological collection, presumably lost). Dist.: Coquimbo (Limarí: Talinay). Male unknown.
