Genus Villalus Cole, 1918: 61 View in CoL View at ENA –63.

Type species: Villalus chilensis Cole, 1918 ; by monotypy. It is a junior synonym of Holops inanis Philippi, 1865 , actually Villalus inanis .

Holops inanis Philippi, 1865: 645 View in CoL . Holotype: Chile (no type specimen deposited in MNNC). Dist : Valparaíso (Valparaíso: Valparaíso) , Los Ríos (Valdivia: El Roble, Santo Domingo, Valdivia).

Comments: If it is probed that this species and V. chilens is are synonyms according to principle of priority the Philippi’s name is valid and Cole´s name is the synonym.
