Distribution. Europe, West Siberia; introduced to Nearctic and Neotropic Regions ( Caldara 2011)
Material examined. 358 specimens ( KUMN. KrC, SIZK) from Crimea, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Odesa, Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil, Volyn, Zaporizhia provinces .
Biology. Semiaquatic. Adults occur in IV–VIII. On Araceae : Lemna minor , L. gibba , L. trisulca , Spirodela polyrrhiza , Calla palustris ( Smreczyński 1972; Dieckmann 1983)
