Notostaurus anatolicus ( Krauss, 1896)
Stauronotulus anatolicus Krauss, 1896: 9 , 560. Dociostaurus anatolicus Uvarov, 1930: 359 .
Distribution in the Palaearctic region: Dagestan, Iran, Israel, Lebanon, Russia, Syria, Turkey, Yugoslavia and Greece ( Bei-Bienko & Mistshenko 1951; Soltani 1978; Mol & Zeybekoğlu 2013).
Distribution in the Turkish Thrace: ÇANAKKALE: Gelibolu, Bayırköy pasture, 10.VII.1969, 7 ♀♀; Sütlüce Village pasture, 10.VII.1969, 2 ♀♀; KIRKLARELI: Babaeski, 31.VIII.1993, 1 ♀♀, ( Karabağ 1971; Ünal 1999).
Material examined: ÇANAKKALE: Gelibolu, between Fındıklı-Değirmendüzü , 231m a.s.l, N: 40°24.903’ E: 26°31.873’, 24.VIII.2013, 3 ♂♂, 1 ♀, leg.: D. Şirin & E. Bayram ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 A). Calling song recorded from one male at 30 ˚C in the laboratory conditions by D. Şirin.
Description of song: Male calling song consists of a series of phrases which range from 9 to12 in number with irregular gaps ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 B). The song generally starts with an initial phrase by the lowest amplitude and continues with a single phrase, then double phrases and two triple phrases ( Figs. 7 View FIGURE 7 B–C). The song durations vary between 5 and 15 s., although the song consists of irregular gapped phrases, durations of 100–108 ms, and the number of syllables (4–6) is almost similar in a phrase ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 D). The pulse number also shows a variety (1–9) in each syllable of one phrase ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 D). The first and the last syllables of the phrase are always in low amplitude, whereas the others generally have similar amplitude modulation ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 D).
