Type species. Andiorrhinus salvadori Cognetti, 1908 .
Diagnosis. Number of species: 48. Distribution: Venezuela (24), Brazil (18), Colombia (3), Bolivia (1), Guyana (1), Paraguay (1). In some cases, the same species has been found in two countries (Brown & Fragoso 2007). Setae: Eight per segment; intraclitellar male pores; calciferous glands, three pairs in segments 7–9 with lamellar structure; testes in segments 10 and 11 within testis sacs; seminal vesicles, two pairs restricted to segments 11 and 12; ovaries in segment 13; spermathecae in pre-testicular segments.
