10. Matsumurina abbreviata Cao & Zhang View in CoL sp. nov.
( Figs. 1 View FIGURE 1. a – d i–l, 5)
Description. Natural color unknown (specimen removed from alcohol). Ground color brownish, vertex, anterior margin of pronotum and face light brown, eyes black.
Male 2S abdominal apodemes extended to fourth sternite (Fig. 5a).
Pygofer side (Fig. 5b) short, denticulate only at hind margin, with few fine setae at lower basal angle; dorsal appendage (Fig. 5c) straight, sharp apically, not reaching hind margin of lobe. Ligament (Fig. 5b) relatively narrow, integrated with pygofer dorsal appendage. Subgenital plate (Figs 5b, e) exceeding hind margin of pygofer side, rounded apically, constriction short, at about 2/3 distance from base; with about 4 macrosetae near lateral margin and row of microsetae on distal disc, marginal microsetae extending from near base to apex except at portion of constriction. Style (Figs 5f, g) sinuated apically, curved mesad and dorsad, apical part short, preapical lobe distinct. Connective (Figs 5h, i) with lateral arms extremely short. Aedeagal shaft (Figs 5h–j) tubular, apical processes symmetrical, directed caudad; branch of upper atrial appendage long, lamellate; ventral process broad, narrowing towards apex, extended to midlength of shaft, rounded apically.
Measurement. Male length 4.30 mm.
Material examined. Holotype: ♂, THAILAND, Petchaburi, Kaeng Krachan NP km15/office, 12°48.024'N, 99°27.281'E, Malaise trap, 17–24. x. 2008, coll. Sirichai.
Deposition. QSBG, Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Diagnosis. Similar to M. qini sp. nov., but with different shape of pygofer dorsal appendage, style with apical part short, ventral process much shorter than shaft.
Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin word “ abbreviatus ” referring to the extremely short lateral arms of the connective.
