In the API 20NE system, positive for cytochrome oxidase, arginine dihydrolase, and nitrate reduction; but negative for esculin hydrolysis, β -galactosidase, urease, glucose fermentation, gelatin hydrolysis, and indole production. Adipic acid is utilized as a sole carbon source; while arabinose, glucose, mannose, mannitol, N -acetyl-glucosamine, D-maltose, malic acid, potassium gluconate, capric acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid are not.
