Type species. Idiastogyia fatisca Lin, 1986 : ( China) ( Early Jurassic ) .

Comments. Idiastogyia is described from a single fragment of the basal half of the hind wing. The venation is clear but distorted, and most of the important diagnostic characteristics of the family are not evident. At this stage we consider Idiastogyia as incertae sedis in Neuroptera .
