Forewing white with markings rather obscure; an indistinct diffuse yellowish median fascia; terminal area yellow with a white costal strigula before termen, its lower part filled fuscous; silver grey tornal spot; termen with a sequence of fuscous dots. Hindwing base white; an irregular median fascia, often a narrow white band outside it outwardly edged fuscous; a double dark fuscous subterminal line; five black terminal eye spots separated by yellow wedges, 2,3 and 4 bearing two metallic spots, 1 and 5 with one each; inner half of terminal cilia dark fuscous. Legs pale lemon, darker on joints. Abdomen lemon.
Male genitalia (Fig. 129): Uncus long and slender; gnathos ¾ uncus, digitate slightly tapered, with spines on dorsum near apex; valva with costa strongly arched at 1/3, termen slightly sinuate with a blunt point near dorsum, a single specialized seta arising just below middle of termen, bent after a short distance then reaching back about 0.6x length of valva; juxta with spines on each side. Aedeagus narrow, simple, with a sclerotized plate towards apex. Sternum 8 with a sclerotised plate (Fig. 129c) which is long and slightly tapered, with a central projection at the posterior end.
Female genitalia (Fig. 160): Ostium wide, antrum long at first cylindrical, then with sclerotised ridges tapering a little towards colliculum; corpus bursae about equal in length to ductus bearing signa comprising a pair short clusters of spines, situated at ¼ of length of ductus. Measures 3mm from tip of ovipositor to posterior end of corpus bursae.
Tympanal organs. Venulae waisted, continuing either side of tympanals.
Diagnosis: Differs from other species in the genus in the double subterminal line of the hindwing, pale forewing and the sinuate termen of the valva in the male genitalia. Very similar to A. kingstoni q.v.
Derivation: From the Greek kitria meaning lemon, from the predominant colour.
Biology: Unknown.
