Opilioacarus With, 1902 View in CoL
Diagnosis: 4–5 foliate d setae (d1) and one slightly pectinate d seta (d2). With’s organ membranous and discoid. Two pairs of dorsolateral eyes, preanal region with 3–6 dorsal setae and 2 lateroventral setae. Dorsal segments between prodorsal shield and preanal region without setae. Leg I crown-like eupathidion (ζ1) close to main sensilla group.
Panchaetes , but differs from those genera by the presence of the single pectinate d type seta (d2), similar in shape to the d type setae found in Amazonacarus Vázquez et al. 2014 , Brasilacarus Vázquez et al. 2015 , Caribeacarus Vázquez & Klompen 2009 and Siamacarus Leclerc 1989 . Also, the presence of more than a single dorsal seta on the preanal segment (XVII segment) is shared with Phalangiacarus Coineau & Hammen 1979 , Indiacaru s Das & Bastawade (genera with no setae on VII–XVI segments), Panchaetes Naudo 1963 , and Salfacarus (genera with segments VII–XVII with many setae).
