Remarks. MZUC 12306 (RDB 2780), identified as Sphaerodactylus molei by RDB, is herein considered a juvenile Gonatodes sp. (probably vittatus based on the locality: Playa Cumanacoa, estado Sucre, Venezuela). This juvenile specimen is quite dehydrated and discolored. It is characterized as Gonatodes instead of Sphaerodactylus due to the presence of claws on fingers and toes (distal phalanx asymmetric in Sphaerodactylus ; Peters & Donoso- Barros 1970). Rivas-Fuenmayor et al. (2006) present data on natural history of this species.
