Caespitose perennial with several flowering stems; stems 15-25 cm, simple, densely stellatesetose. Lower leaves 30-60 x 3-5 mm, oblong or linear-lanceolate, densely stellate-setose, the setae 1-1-5 mm with rays 0-3~0-4mm. Pedicels 1-5 mm; lower bracts exceeding calyx. Calyx 10-14 mm, densely stellate-setose. Corolla 20-24 mm, pale yellow, glabrous or puberulent, about twice as long as calyx. Nutlets 3-3-5 mm, smooth, shining. • S. Greece, Kriti. Cr Gr.
The plants from Kriti have a glabrous corolla, those from S. Greece a puberulent corolla.
