Stem with (O-)l-3(-6) pairs of short, stout, arcuate-ascending branches. Cauline internodes not more than 2(-3j) times as long as leaves. Lowest flower at node 5-9. Leaves not more than 10 mm, eglandular, the cauline deflexed, caducous, narrowly ovate to elliptical, the lower floral ovate to deflate, with 3-4(-5) pairs of subacute to acute teeth not much longer than wide. Corolla 6-5-8-5 mm. Capsule 4-5-5 mm, not exceeding calyx, more than twice as long as wide, oblong. Denmark (around Skagen, N. J y Hand).
