Indian records. Rajasthan —Sharma V. et al. (2012); General record— Fernando & Kanduru (1984).

Remarks. Valid species described from Indonesia ( Richard 1894b). Populations from different continents need to be revised ( Kotov & Ferrari 2010).

Distribution. Cosmopolitan ( Berner 1987; Floessner 1972, 2000; Smirnov et al. 1995).

Ceriodaphnia kuerzii Stingelin, 1895

Indian records. Rajasthan — Biswas (1971), as ‘ Ceriodaphnia reticulata var. kurzii ’ Stingelin.

Remarks. Described from Germany ( Stingelin 1895) with original spelling “ Küzi ”, so, according to the ICZN (2000) it must be transformed to “ kuerzi ”, not “ kurzi ”, like Biswas (1971) wrote. Junior synonym of C. reticulata ( Jurine, 1820) ( Floessner, 1972, 2000).
