Remarks. Very common valid species described from Argentina ( Richard 1895) and needs to be revised worldwide ( Kotov & Ferrari 2010).
Distribution. At this time it is regarded as cosmopolitan, yet records outside the Neotropics should be checked in detail—no molecular progress has been made for Bosminopsis yet, in contrast to Bosmina .
Bosminopsis devendrari Rane, 1984
Type locality. " Pariat tank on Amerkantak road, Jabalpur district, Madhya Pradesh ", India ( Rane 1984a) .
Indian records. Madhya Pradesh — Rane (1984a); General record— Raghunathan & Suresh Kumar (2003);
Remarks. We fully agree with Sharma B.K. & Sharma S. (1990) that no real differences from B. deitersi were reported by Rane (1984a). This is a junior synonym of B. deitersi .
Bosminopsis longirostris in Murugan et al. (1998)
General record — Murugan et al. (1998).
Remarks. Misspelling, it could be Bosmina longirostris .
