Material examined. Libya, Gasr Garabulli (Tripolitania), 1♂ allotype, 1♀ holotype, 3♂, 3♀ paratypes (DAP). Jannone (1938) listed the following main characters to separate maxima from spinicollis : larger size, longer antennae, mesonotum longer in the middle, epiproct larger than long. It lives in Libya (Tripolitania).
