5. Sciomyza Fallén, 1820 View in CoL View at ENA (New record)
( Figs. 6 View FIGURES 1–8 , 39–40 View FIGURES 33–40 , 68 View FIGURE 68 )
Sciomyza Fallén, 1820: 11 View in CoL . Type species: Sciomyza simplex Fallén, 1820 View in CoL (by designation of Westwood, 1840).
Diplectria Enderlein, 1939: 203 View in CoL . Type species: Bischofia lucida Hendel, 1902 (original designation). Diagnosis. Medium-sized to relatively large species characterized by 2 preapical setae on the foretibia. Always 2 orbital setae present. Frons partly or entirely shining. Antennal arista with long black hairs. Prosternum with setulae. Propleural seta strong. Wing hyaline without spots.
Remarks. Of the 6 described species, 4 are Palearctic and 2 are Nearctic.
Before our study, Sciomyza had never been recorded from China. We determined 1 female from Menyuan County, Qinghai Province, in northwestern China, in the Palearctic Region. By use of the key in Rozkošný (1987), we determined it to be Sciomyza dryomyzina Zetterstedt, 1846 . This is the first record of Sciomyza from China.
Specimen examined. 1♀, CHINA, Qinghai, Menyuan County, 1990. VII. 21, collectors unknown ( IZCAS).
