Microctonus glyptosceli
status

M. glyptosceli Loan, Klein & Coppel

Figures 58–60

Microctonus glyptosceli Loan, Klein & Coppel, 1969, p 230 .

Distribution: Wisconsin.

Specimens examined: Four from one collection event.

Flight period: July.

Remarks: This species is very similar to M. pachylobii . Further collections from its host might challenge the distinction based on characters in the key. Loan et al. (1969) figured the stipital sclerite of the final instar larva. They noted the sharp and pronounced hypostomal spur is distinctive but did not compare it to those of M. pachylobii .
