Distribution: Western North America? The specimen label does not indicate locality but was noted feeding on Alnus rubra Bongard (= oregona).
Specimens examined: One.
Flight period: Reared in November.
Remarks: Known only from the holotype. Further collections may challenge the distinction from M. loani .
