Type species: Gymnaetoides testaceus sp. nov., here designated.
Description. Body rather small for tribe. Vertex of head divided into two conical tubercles, separated at apex. Legs elongate and slender, fore femora about 1.4–2.0 times as long as the pronotum. Hind metatarsus with bristles beneath. Epiproct and paraproct of male normally developed. Dorsolateral lobes of male genitalia with a distinctly sclerotized apex.
This new genus is distinguished from Diestrammena (Gymnaeta) Adelung, 1902 by its dorsolateral lobes of male genitalia with apex being sclerotized.
