Type material. Holotype, sex undetermined, 3.5 mm, NIWA 50186. [Not examined].

Type locality. Bear’s Paw Seep, Omakere Ridge, Hikurangi Margin, New Zealand (40°03.17'S, 177°49.17'W), 1102 m depth.

Habitat. In vicinity of cold seeps, 1056–1102 m depth.

Diagnosis. Head lateral cephalic lobe subacute. Maxilliped inner plate with 2 robust setae. Coxae 1 to 3 ventral margin with sparse fine setae. Gnathopod 1 basis anterior margin smooth, not cuspidate. Pereopod 3 carpus posterior margin much shorter than free proximal margin of propodus, posteroproximal margin slightly produced, subtriangular; propodus palm obtuse, margin convex. Pereopod 7 basis, posteroventral corner oblique. Epimeron 3 posteroventral corner narrowly rounded. Uropod 3 outer ramus 2 articulate, article 2 length 2 × width; inner ramus longer than article 1 of outer ramus. Telson slightly longer than broad, length 1.1 × breadth.

Distribution. New Zealand: Omakere Ridge, Hikurangi Margin ( Kilgallen 2009).
