Discussion. This species was described by Semper (1865) from the Pliocene of Bologna ( Italy). Boettger (1902) mentioned it also from Coşteiu des Sus ( Romania) and Baden ( Austria) ( Boettger 1902). We did not see material of this species in the NHMW collection.
